Of course, it is not to late... Jump on in...

Okay so here is the deal~
Since this is our first Badge in... We of course HAVE to start with our... (Drum roll please....)

APRON BADGES!
Stitching and Crafting

Beginner Level~ Sew 1/2 of an apron/ where it whenever you are in the kitchen (if the half apron is a gift) get in the practice of wearing an apron in the kitchen.

Intermediate Level ~ Sew a full apron ~ Wear it out to a friend’s house~

Expert Level ~ Design your own "go to town apron pattern"
Sew two giving one away for a gift
Wear it to town.

Jump in where ever you need to. If you already have the Beginner Badge, start on your Intermediate. If you have Intermediate start on your Expert. If you have completed this badge then please stay engaged and help those that are just starting.

If you are new to the sisterhood, then always start with the beginner badge and work your way up to expert.

The January Badge in is APRONS.. LET'S HAVE FUN and share the journey. Make sure to post lots of pictures on the way.

Oh my gosh, I'll be tackling the expert badge! Does the pattern have to be completely original or can we borrow from other patterns?

This is the "one" that I've completed the expert level. I love all my aprons and even have another one in progress. Happy Sewing ladies!

Well, Kimberly Ann looks like we will both be working on the same level. I've made a lot of aprons but never designed my own. Can't wait to see what everyone else does.

Ok, so I want to play, but I just submitted all three levels of Aprons! I'll go ahead and submit the others that I have the stuff for and will answer any questions that I can.

Cool, I've never made my own apron. I'm going to need lots of help ladies. I can sew quilts and pillows and stuff like that, but whenever it comes to clothes things. Yikes! I go running the other way. The waste band and tie are what get be scared. How do you do it and it comes out right?

Karianne~~~ That is so funny...
Marsha, Jonnie is so right, with all the talent we have here, you will have no problems with an apron.. EVERY farmgirl needs an apron of her own.

What a great idea! I've been "stuck" on which badge to do -- Much easier to let someone else make the decision... I'm in!

I want to join in too - pretty please. I have started to clean up "my" room (holiday love-mess) and should be ready to start something new Monday-ish :-) This should be a lot of fun to do as a sort of group - Thanks Rene'

OK, so I finished my design apron for the expert badge and well, it is really cute but it doesn't fit. I know aprons aren't really fitted but this one was sort of suppose to be. Now, here is my question should I start from scratch or take this one apart and try again. I really love the skirt part but the bib part is not right. Suggestions please!!!!

I wonder if you only hooked the "bodice" part in the front rather than going so far around on the waist part. kind of more of heart shape?? I think that when it wraps around it would kind of gap when it goes so far around.
I haven't started working on a badge but would like to give it a try too.

You are right it does kinda gap when it wraps around. I think It would fit good if I had a bit more up front if you know what I mean. LOL I have decided to keep this one as is and make changes on the 2nd one. Because for this badge you must make two. So suggestions would be appreciated. I am keeping the skirt part I love that part. I hope to get started on it on the weekend. I am trying to finish some bedroom decorations for my DD before she goes back to college.

Cindy Lou, I love your quote. I haven't heard that one in years.

Drum roll please! I finished the beginner apron. I am so proud of myself. I made it harder than it was just fretting about it. Thanks for all the support. I'll post it on my blog.

Love the colors/fabrics you chose for your apron. Looking at the picture the bodice looks short in comparison to the skirt (Very cute). Could that also be part of the fitting problem? Just a suggestion.

I'm working on an apron design today. No idea what I'm going to do other than use some stash vintage fabric. :-)

Rene' - would you be so kind as to direct me to the right spot for submitting badge info. I seem to be at a loss to find it...probably right under my nose. Thank you for your help!
