thanks mamawolf. i will do that. we are going over the cascades to see her this weekend if it does not snow. i am hopeful. been on the kfc site too. the girls were encouraging. this will make 3 jerseys for us. we have a mini cross and one full size bred to private pyle for a mid size. sherrye
Hey Sherrye, I've heard Jersey cows to live from 15 to 20 years, maybe longer. I agree with Teresa, definitely check on the hip (and udders), and see if she is in working shape for milk and birthing.

thanks girls, will be talking with them mon. snow storm here and very cold. possible single digits. moved water trough and heater inside barn yesterday. i hope noone buys her before i can get over the mountain with the horse trailer. i will keep you posted. isabella is bred. aied last month will be july aug baby. i am very excited about this new cow.
How fun to get a new cow. Sure doesn't seem like a little over 4 years that I was "cow shopping" and found my Mona. Time flies. I agree that 10 years old isn't an old Jersey cow. I hope the hip isn't a problem. Sounds like you are in for some fun. I love the name Isabella!
