Ok I'm stumped. I have things fairly manageable. I have the guest room just about 100% set. I have the basement semi and the playroom/den yeah not so much. I want to turn it into basically the library but right now its where everything comes to die. I have a pile of stuff to get rid of, but idk. I just feel stuck right now. I need to purge some more. I wish people would come over and I could give them stuff ha. It'd be better to make some money but eh. I just want that calm feeling I have when I purge stuff. HELP

I know what you mean. I am trying to do that. I have a big box ready to go to the thrift store. Then my mom comes up. She's doing the same thing, too. but what does she do? SHe thinks I need it. She was asking me about some other things she thought I might need and I told her "NO! I don't need anything. I promise. I am set!" But she did bring me a whole set of cast iron cook ware she's had for years. With a great Dutch oven with lid. It just needs primed or whatever you do to rusty cast iron. I use that all the time.

I hope you get where you need to be, Bridget. It's hard but doable. Keep it up and don't give up!

Kris

You know, we are more inclined to get rid of more when we know someone can use it. I recommend signing up for Freecycle, which is an e-mail group that is in most areas where you can post things you have for free. People can e-mail you who are interested and you can either let them come to your home, or meet them in a parking lot to pick up the stuff. I often wait for nice weather and just post "It's on my curb!". I purge a lot more when I see the happy faces of people who are coming to get my stuff. This might help you!

I'm purging as well-3 bags so far in the trunk & headed to Goodwill. Feels great to see empty spots, neatness in place of the chaos. Do what you can as you can!

Thanks guys...:) That all helped. YES it is sooooo much better when I know someone loves it. Maybe I'll look to give away 1 thing a day hehe. Sherrie the "do what you can as you can" totally struck a chord with me. I shall think that! Reminds me of whats that saying you are just where you should be.

6 bags of clothing to Salvation Army...3 of which were warm little boy clothes. More, more, more to go. I don't need it all! I don't want it all any more...and I don't want it in the landfill either but either way, it's got to get out the door! Even if it's just a bag here or a box there...don't give up!
