Saturday I took several huge leaf and yard size bags of stuff to the thrift shops and they ALL had their Christmas stuff out ...you can see where this is going girls... I found the dearest little rustic Father Christmas and some wonderful country rustic things to replace the kitschy plastic things that I've been making due with...now for the popcorn balls and gingerbread cookies for the tree. I've bought all of the felt and such to make some gingerbread men and hearts to make a garland and tree ornaments. This is going to all look so great!
BUT I'm trying to de-clutter and get rid of things!!!....My bad habits hog tied my good senses and I had a spree

Sounds like a few rustic Christmas items would take up lots less room than several yard-sized plastic bags of stuff! So you did good, girl. You are not a bad, bad girl! You are a very smart little lady.
Have fun with your 'new' things!

I'll try to post photos of some of my treasures =) I really do feel pretty good about my sweet, simple farm girl theme I'm putting together. And no, I didn't manage to find a leaf bag full of swag! Lol! I just had to share...this holiday spirit that is going around the forum is so infectious!

It's that thrifty-girl syndrome. However, from what I can tell you are still in the 'normal' range. Replacing a few christmas finds after a major reduction, that is a minor symptom, things are under control.

Oh, bad, bad girl you! Don't you know you're supposed to run after you drop stuff off. Not go in! What were you thinkin'? But if it's stuff you really need...

The rule in my house is for every new kinda stuff I get, whether it be from a thrift, swapmeet, fleamarket or yardsale, the equal amount has to leave, so that way there is no harm , no foul, and usually what gets donated, trashed, etc, exceds what new stuff I get, lol.
