I have a serious addiction to vintage crochet booklets. Those thin little pamphlets from the 40s - 60s, they call to me. I have yet to make something from one of them - I don't do alot of work with thread and that is mostly what they are - but boy, I sure do like to look through them. Anybody else addicted to these bad boys? We could flash our stash.

Kim, they sound wonderful. I am new this year to crochet so I AM very limited in my abilities; but I am truly an addict. Yarn, books and whatnot just keep findin their way home with me. Seeing how I LOVE vintage...I'd probably love those little books too!

Yup!! I had a few years ago, but due to moving I lost them. I got them in Canada and they were of the sweet crinoline ladies that you crochet and then sew onto items like towels etc. SO cute, wish I still had them :(

Well....we are kindred spirits on the vintage crochet booklets! I've been collecting them for a dozen years or so...in addition to the neat patterns I just love the line drawings..especially in the baby pattern booklets.

I have several of them some of them in magazine forms some books.. I have a few books I brought from Dover's once I am making a crochet thread bedspread Each motif is shape in a hexagon with popcorn stitches. It takes 30 minutes or more to do one I have about 7 more rows I think to do It is taking me a long time to do them ; what with doing other projects. I can't do just one thing I get bored with it That is why it takes me a long time to do some things.ha hugs sheila

I have 4 crochet booklets from 1915 and 1917 and four more from, 1942, 1953, 1944, and 1954. They vary on price due to condition. One is Crochet and Tatting Designs Book No. 1 Winifred Worth; no cover, good condition 1915; have seen w/cover go for $125.00 but would sell for $20.00 or best offer.Contact me if interested for more details. quote: Originally posted by CherryPie

I need to practice more with the thread. I long to make dollies but I still struggle with consistent stitches. I don't have a problem with yarn, but it take a special talent for thread! :)
