DH was out of masking tape and put duct tape on some marble tiles when he was grouting them. Then he didn't get it off for ages. The tape leaves icky gummy residue when pulled off. What can I use to get that off that won't hurt the marble, or poison the air?

Baby oil might work and it is cheap too.

Goo-Gone works very well. Let the gel sit for a few minutes. I'd use a nonscratch scrubbie or a microfiber cloth to get the stubborn spots off your tile. Rinse with a little water. I use Goo-Gone to remove gummy residue from books, tables, counters and bookshelves in my library.
It has an orange smell, that's not too overpowering.
You can buy it at most craft and hardware stores. It's usually kept with the paint supplies. |

ok, this may sound weird, but try sun tan lotion, it will take sharpie off of plastic items so i dont think it would hurt to try it. ( and we put that stuff on our skin! )
