I am on a count down to November 30th. That date is the END of Hurricane Season. Only then will I finish buying furniture for my house; I have two rooms left to furnish. Marly

Hi Marly~
I'm new here, well sort of; returning after 2 years.
Here on the east coast we are also glad when the season ends. However, then we have to face the nor'easters. Just came through a 3 day one that has done a lot of damage here in VA (10" of rain and hurricane gusts). They are almost worse as they hang around and batter us for days. Glad they don't happen too frequently. As I am writing, the sun has just come out!
Enjoy that new furniture!

Vanessa: Thanks for the post. I've been watching the weather channel and did see all the weather conditions an the east coast. Happy to hear y'all finally got sun! 15 or more days until the end of Hurricane Season for us. I hope the Nor'Easters stay away from the east coast for a while. Take care, but stay prepared. That's what we all say on the Gulf Coast. LOL Marly

Alee: Thanks Alee. This year I had my new laptop computer. If we would have had a hurricane coming, I would have just packed it up and it would come with me. After loosing two desk top computers to two floods within three years, I learned! LOL Thanks for your concern. How is the weather up your way, Alee? Has it snowed alot there? Marly

The laptop computer is a good idea. I should get one of those if I have to pack up and run. I haven't experienced a hurricane but I have seem more than my fair share of tornadoes. Not fun! Which reminds me I should get a new insurance quote because my current provider isn't quite what I hoped for communication-wise! |
