She did a book signing in little Rock last night! I am working on a blog post about it and will have it up WITH PICTURES (albeit blury since my husband has some issue with taking good pictures of me)- later tonight.
Ree is GORGEOUS!!!!! So tall and thin, beautiful and sweet. Marlboro man is all she describes him as and more! WOW!

I am so jealous. She is coming to New York one week after I will be there with my girl scout troop. Would I drag a bunch of 12 year olds to Barnes and Noble to get a cookbook signed? You betcha! I don't imagine she'll come to Maine. I can't wait to see your blog post!

Hey Julie! First off, I too am a bit envious. I LOVE Pioneer Woman's blog!!!
One question that has been driving me nuts is --- WHAT is "Marlboro Man's" REAL name? I read somewhere that it was "Ladd." That's such an odd name. "Ladd Drummond." hmmm... sounds like a dogs name. (No offense to anyone!) Well, whatever it is, even if that IS it, I'd STILL look at his pictures!!! (LOL!!!)

I heard the marlboro man died from smoking Marlboro cigarette's. In his last year or so of life he even did ad's against smoking. Am I missing something??

Add me to the list of jealous, drooling Farmgirls~~up until 2 wks. ago I had no idea about the Pioneer Woman site, until someone here mentioned it, now I can't get enough of it!!! For anyone who hasn't checked it out, you don't know what you're missing.

I'm so glad for you. I preordered her cookbook. Got it several days ago and am still reading it. It's a blast. Hopefully she'll come to Baltimore. I'd buy several more, for gifts!

OK now I see him, like Kristin I could not find him so Julie thanks for the link. What makes him so goodlooking besides his eye's and body is the way he looks at his family. He looks so totally in love with the kids he is holding. That is a good man and cute too, no wonder you ladies go to that site.

Well, ya'll must be looking at a different guy. The link Julie gave has a kind of scary looking guy right when I clicked on it. And every one of the other pictures I never see his face. Something's always in front of it. Like a kid or his hat. But the rest of him does look good. And he does look good on a horse, for sure!

changing the subject from the MM. You just have to try the rib eye steaks with whiskey gravy from the cookbook. Oh My Goodness it'll make you want to slap your mama. That has to be the best steak I have ever eaten in my life. Going back to the Marlboro Man, you also have to try the Marlboro Man sandwich also. We got that recipe from her website back a bit and we love it. It is also in the cookbook.

We had Marlboro Mans sandwich last night but without the bread. I use the drippings from cooking the meat to make a little pan gravy and we served it with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts! YUM!
