Our female lovebird has laid 3 eggs so far! We got a nestbox into the cage and put the eggs into it. She and the male have been in and out of the nestbox, feeding each other too. A lot of times they don't really start sitting till the eggs are all laid.

It is her first clutch so she may not get it figured out. Our daughters raised birds for sale when they were teenagers, at one time we had over 300 in walk-in cages and nesting cages in the basement; parakeets, lovebirds and cockatiels mostly. Now we are down to 5. The male lovebird was one of a pair of peachface blue brothers. The other male died about a year ago and DH was worried the remaining one might not be able to stand the loneliness, so we got a lutino. The guy who sold it had told us he thought it was another male, certainly isn't!
