All you ever wanted to know about food expiration dates. The section called "shelf talk" gives a really good explanation of "use by", "sell by", "best if used by" yada yada yada explanation!

Wow! Thanks for the link. I'm such a freak about food safety...I go by the adage, "if in doubt, throw it out" and I know I often err on the ridiculous side of caution with food. This will give me a better idea of when I need to throw something out, and when it should be perfectly fine. Thanks!

I find it kinda helpful, because at the price of food these days one really hates to throw away something that might be well within the limits of still being fresh enough to consume.

One thing I don't need much help with is my veggie drawer in the fridge. I have science projects in there sometimes. The green isn't always lettuce ...

P.S. Alee, I tried to put my pin on your photo/map blog thinger, but it wouldn't upload ANY of the photos I tried. I couldn't find directions anywhere that show how many pixels, or what size limitations there might be on photos. HELP!
