I would love to go to an old fashion quilting bee. Does anyone out there live near Ardmore Oklahoma? I live in a small log cabin on an acrege between my mom and my son ect. So getting to quilt is a real treat, between having company in and out all day :) I love it. It's amazing how fast a 3 and 5 year old can run to the cabin from their home ;)

Nancy, I wish we lived closer together. I also think a quilting bee would be great!

Take care, Melissa.

I think if you check around a little, you may find some church ladies who still have quilting bees. I know where I live there are groups of church ladies in the smaller towns around that get together to quilt. They do it to make money for their churches and they usually have very reasonable prices. Good luck!

Also check with the employees in the shop where you buy your fabric (unless it's a larger chain store like JoAnn's or Hancock). They usually know some local quilters and might be able to hook you up.

Here are a couple of links for you to check out, Nancy (there is a guild in Ardmore) and Melissa.

If you don't like the larger guild meetings, they usually have smaller groups (Bees) that meet on a regular basis and you could possibly join up with them.

When I googled quilt shops in ardmore, I discovered that there is an Ardmore PA, too.
