I posted a request a little while ago about my best friend being very sick with pneumonia. She actually has double pneumonia. I spoke with her husband this evening and they moved her to a larger better hospital and she is now with a lung specialist. He said that she hasn't gotten any better but hasn't gotten any worse. Its been over a week now. I am getting terribly worried about her. Her husband said that we all need to pray for her and the doctor said we will just has to wait. Not a good thing to have to do in a situation like this. I am unable to visit her as she is in ICU. She has always enjoyed Maryjanes magazines and when mine comes in the mail I call her to see if she has gotten hers. I couldn't do that this week when mine arrived in my mailbox. :( Anyways, I had a thought that maybe if some of our Farmgirls would maybe like to write to her that maybe that would give her some encouragement and some sunshine in her life right now. Her name is Cheryl and she needs all the prayers she can get right now. When I moved out here to the country I asked God if he could help me find a neew best friend and he did and I don't know what I would do without her. She has brightened my days when they are dark and has been there for me when I have felt alone. She needs our help so if you would like to write to her just email me. I can give you my address and when your letters come I can deliver them to her family to take to the hospital to give to her. Just thought it would make her feel better knowing that we are thinking about her! Thanks to all my Farmgirl Sisters!
I got a bit of good news yesterday. I talked to my friends boss and he said that Cheryl had a bit of improvement the night before last. Hopefully she did better last night will know this afternoon. Thank you for all your thought and prayers. I know that it is helping!
More good news. Cheryl is getting better and if by the end of the week all is good they will take her off the respirator. So please keep praying for her. Thanks!
Thank you Karen for the wonderful card you sent for both Cheryl and myself. I know she will enjoy it. Good news! They took Cheryl off the respirator yesterday. So our farmgirl prayers are working! Thanks again!
Zinc can be very helpful in the treatment of pneumonia, especially in children and the elderly. I don't know the age of your friend, but it might be worth looking into.
Your prayers have been working. I finally got a update from Cheryls son. She is doing much better but still in ICU. Here lungs to a beating and she is now doing physical therapy and eating well. It is going to be a long recovery for her but I am please with what he told me. I have been so worried about her and he said hopefully she will be out of ICU soon and I will be able to go and visit her. :) Thank you for the cards and prayers!
