Thanks for the wonderful pictures Karen! They were quite something!

I was in Tangiers and Morocco many years ago. It was beautiful too, quite different from where you were though.

Karen,
Wow that was some trip. Did I mention that I go to the grocery store and to the thrift? Great pictures on your blog. Glad to see you are home safe and sound.

We were in South Africa, Botswana and Zambia. We were in safari camps in Botswana and Zambia. They were luxury tents, with animals right outside! :D It was a trip of a lifetime! Where did you MIL go?

No Belle, I don't but I was fortunate to get to visit a village and two different schools which I hope to be involved in. I also have a email friend who is 18 who worked at one of the camps. She is heading off to college this next week, so I am excited about that. My goal in going was to connect with the people and I hope I can accomplish that. I will post pictures of the village and school later on my blog.

I have to admit, I have some favs too (animals). I had a love affair going with the giraffes for the first 10 days or so and then I fell in love with the hippo sounds. They are quite loud at night and along with the Bell frogs, I was in heaven. They make a lot of noise but I loved the duet they formed and fell gently to sleep each night. I wish I could have recorded that sound......darn. I have to say the baby elephants are the cutest though!!!! Little baby Dumbos.
