My ds was in dire need of some longjohns (he calls them undertighties) and turtlenecks. The little stinker successfully boosted 2 pair from the sewing room before they were hemmed. Cotton knit fabric and Ottobre pattern

and a snuggly little jacket for a friend's new boy, polar fleece and cotton knit

I hope that's not too many pictures, I'm just excited to get sewing again

What are you stitching to get ready for winter? Has anyone sewn fleece socks before? I'm thinking that might be my next project.

ADORABLE! I had a sewing machine accident last summer. Our house at the time was really small so when I would sew I had to take out the machine and plug it in at the kitchen table. Of course then the cord was dangerously dangling across the room. I was standing on one side of the table ironing the garment I was sewing and even though I had set a chair across to indicate not to go that way, and even though Ive said 6 million times to him to ask before he comes in if he sees the sewing machine out, he bounded in, over the chair and I glanced up in time to yell "NOOOOOOO!!!!" as he accidentally ran through the cord and dragged my machine onto the floor where it broke literally into 3 pieces. It could not be repaired. Im still just SICK about it because I cannot possibly replace it. SICK I TELL YOU!

So thank you for sharing your gorgeous handiwork. You are VERY talented and I am very ENVIOUS!! :)

Sarah, oh no, that sounds like one of those slow-motion events that you wish you could rewind!

Sheila, he's a boy, but I think he's pretty too ;) He used to have even longer hair and was always thought to be a girl, and he actually looks just like my middle daughter at the same age, kind of eerily so.

Stephanie, I love, love ottobre patterns, the sizing is right-on, something I hadn't been used to with patterns before :)

Thanks girls <3

Be proud you can sew like this. Lots of people would give anything to do this. Keep it up gal...way to go!
