My Mom(JennyWren) and I are new to this forum. I love the idea that we can all get together and share Farmgirl experiences. I am 17, after high school I am planning on becoming a Vet tech. I am wondering if there are any other Farmgirl's my age out there?
Even though we live in the city (It's temporary! To quote a line from the movie Moonstruck) We have a small "farm".. I have many pets and my Mom and I are always working on something fun, including gardening, crafts, sewing, knitting, cooking/baking the list could go on for a long time!

Have a good day!

Hello Mari,
Glad to see another farmgirl from Wisconsin. I'm in the Hartford area soon moving to West Bend. I love to hear that you and your mom do things together that is really important. My kids and I do to, but since they are older now (18-25)and their lives are more hectic we don't so as much as we use to. But hoilday cookie baking is still a tradition that we carry out for those who are home during that time.
Welcome!!!!

Pray for our troops to come home safe and soon.

Welcome Marianne! Just posted a welcome to your mom. I am glad to see more youngun' posting. Muttley is 16 and is a real sweetie. Hope you 2 connect. I am trying to get my daughter join the forum too. She is 14 and doesn't think she has anything to talk about. Maybe sometime she will join up. See you around the forum! Julia V.

Good Morning Marianna!

We're so glad you've joined us! It sounds like you and your mom are really close. That's special. My mom is my best friend (outside of my husband) and I'm my two girls' best friend....at least right now until they think I'm uncool.

My oldest is 13 and has wanted to come and join the chat but just hasn't taken the time to do it. She's on another chat forum at the TY Beanie Baby site and has made lots of friends from all over the world. The site is nice and mostly gals chat....all ages....there are those under 10 and some grannies over 65. The only thing that disappoints me is that you cannot share addresses. I know it's for protection and I am grateful, but, it would be nice for Nicole to send letters to places like the island of Cyprus or to Italy.

Well, I got side-tracked.....I look forward to hearing more about your farmgirl life and dreams.

Blessings
Catherine

I am so glad you are feeling a little better Mari...I hope tomorrow finds you even closer to back to normal!
How neat to get to go to Washington DC. I have never been there! (never been east of Minnesota or Kentucky)
I knew you and Muttley would hit it off well!

Hi, I'm newer than you, but wanted to say "hey". I'm NOT your age, but my husband is a youth pastor, so I tend to hang out with more teens than adults most of the time. I just read your blog, and it's really great, thanks for sharing all of that!

The end will justify the pain it took to get us here.

Hi...

Thanks! My Mom and I are really excited about this! I don't think we are going to be able to make it in August :( But maybe things will change and we will make it.

We are happy about starting a local chapter down here. I hope you can make it! It would be nice to meet you!
