I know somewhere on here, there was a thread about things we were making for Christmas. I couldn't find it, so I thought I'd just post here. :) I just finished this afghan for my sweet MIL. It was one of those free pattern pages that hang all over Walmart in the craft section..hehe. It was just too cute not to try. It might not be exactly perfect, but I think it turned out alright.
Anyone else have things done they could share?? I do love being inspired by you all!

OOh I just happened to think of it, but if anyone else is interested in giving this pattern a try, you can go to
www.coatsandclark.com and type LW1335 in the search box. It is the crochet hearts & diamonds throw
Of course, I didn't do mine in pink and white, like they did, but yarn colors are endless!! :D hugs

Jenny-- I do hope you'll post a pic if you do the afghan. I would so love to see it! :D
Karen--I have a granny square butterfly throw in the making for my little "niece". It is slow going though as I have so many projects going at once. :D You can see the pattern for it here: http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/AfghansThrows/WR1665+Crochet+Butterfly+Throw.htm I have a list of Christmas things to work on, but they are all in my mind mostly. I am keeping a checklist so I know what I want done first...lol Lists are wonderful things!! OOh those little pants were so easy! I will have to take a pic tomorrow to share, if I can remember. I think I might be sharing some of those as Christmas gift tuck ins ;)

Well, I thought I would share some of the other projects I've been working on. ;) The tea towel and cow are for a sweet friend of mine, who is being ever so wonderfully patient in waiting for them. The Christmas bulb pattern I found online and thought it was calling my name to give it a go. I was thinking they might make nice Christmas gifts too, but I haven't wholly decided on that yet.
CR working this new job and when the kids do finally go to sleep at night, it affords me a few hours to work on things. Crocheting is nice and quiet and productive so it works out well. :D
I'd love to see pics of anything you all are working on if you would like to share! <3

Jessie, I hope I'm on the good list this year. Love the christmas bulb! Didn't you just start that? She crochets like a whiz. She will be starting something and the next thing I know she is showing it to me done and is half way through something else. Definitely talented at crafting things! Always has been a very creative thinker. Sorry...bragging mom. But she didn't get it from me. I think her grandmom and great grandmom, both are and were very good at this sort of thing.

These are the kitchen britches made from crocheted dishcloths that I was saying about earlier. Super easy and I think they turned out cute! :D
The little tag that you are supposed to add says
"Don't get excited And don't get misled These aren't to wear But for dishes instead. So take off the bows And pull out the stitches, And you'll have two dishcloths Instead of the britches."
hugs

Jessie, Can I ask where you found the cow pattern? I so love her and I have a dairy farm and would love to make one for my house. All of your things are absolutely lovely!!! I do the same thing, crochet at night when everyone is asleep. I have gotten all but ONE of my CHristmas gifts finished!! I am so excited about that. I posted a pic of the cupcake hats I made for my nieces, but my computer crashed and I lost all of my pics. Just got a new computer so now I have to start all over:) Thanks for sharing!!
