WOW!!!! Jerry Baker said it and I tried it and it really works! I have some wonderful glasses I purchased about 10 yrs ago and the past few months I used a different rinse agent in the dishwasher and the glasses look AWFUL! I was thinking there was no way they'd ever look good again and I was concerned I'd need to replace them...then I read one of the Jerry Baker (garden/do-it-yourself solutions guy) hints and it works. Peel potatoes...I peeled mine into a dishpan, added about an inch of water, then added about 6 of my glasses, and periodically spun the glasses in the potatoes and water mixture and, WOW!! they look like new! I wonder if it will work with some of my old milk bottles...will let y'all know...

Y'all are welcome. The info was in a mailer from Jerry Baker, wanting me to buy his book "Old-Time Vinegar, Garlic, Baking Soda, and 101 More Problem Solvers"...which is probably a great book to have on hand, but I'm on a budget for a while longer. The potato info was a "carrot" listed in the mailer. It worked on some old milk bottles that had milk etched into the glass...so it really does the job!
