My apron collection has been growing and I've found some absolutely gorgeous ones that I want to display somehow. That made me wonder --what do you do with your aprons? Are they on "display"? If so, how?

I cut a really cute picture out of a magazine. The woman had taken old painted pot lids and hung them, handle side out, on the wall. She tied one apron, by the apron strings, through the handle. It was really cute.

When dh gets up (he's working nights this weekend and is asleep) I'll see if he feels like showing me how to post a picture. If I can, I'll take a picture of the picture and share it with you ladies.

I've seen that picture!!! I cannot remember for the life of me where I saw it now but it was just this last week. It's very cute and I even thought about doing something like that in my new kitchen. Very simple but very nice and 'farmgirly' . I need to get some cute aprons though, I don't even own one!!! How sad is that?

I've seen that picure too! I've also displayed my aprons from a coat rack (hall stand) in the corner of the kitchen. I swap out which ones are hangin on the "outside" according to the season.

oh .. i once saw the most adorable idea in an antiques shoppe ... these were 'bib' aprons and kitchen chairs ... they had tied the aprons to the chairs so they looked like the chair was wearing the apron .. what a fun idea for a party! (you would actually end up sitting on the apron with the bib part at your back). would be fun to do this changing the aprons weekly or seasonally. would use 'fragile' older aprons for this unless it was just for show.

you might only do ONE chair .. put it outside on a sunny day with a beautiful flower pot full of flowers on the seat.

most of my aprons hang on pegs. xo

I have seen it too. Maybe in Country Living, or Better Homes & Gardens?

(pouting) I still don't have an apron. But I am going make one soon.

At least it shows we're all reading her magazine! I think she'll understand the memory lapse

Tooo funny! I was just thinking that I've seen that picture, too, and trying to remember just where I saw it - and it was so cute! I know that MaryJane would be so excited that her photo had such an impact on us - that we remembered it and loved it. I needed a good laugh this morning, and this time, it was about myself, too! Thank you!

XOXO, Libbie

You Gals are too cute!! I'm so glad you've found the source. It's great sharing your favorite parts of the magazine. Mine are all the tips in Home Safe Home. Leave it to us farmgirls to share our good finds!!

Kate,
It must be in her book too because I have never seen any of her magazines and I did buy the book last summer so that would fit.
I drove through Seneca last night half asleep finally made it home.

I saw it someplace besides MaryJane's book or magazine. I am still thinking Country Living or Better Homes & Gardens, and sometime in the last 2 yrs. Were snowed in with blizzard conditions this morning, maybe I will get a chance to look.

I have two of my aprons pinned to one of my kitchen window lace curtian. The valance has old crochet potholders pinned to it. During the winter my herb drying rack has aprons hanging on it, the rest of the aprons are either in a drawer or in an old picnic basket. Ya can't have to many aprons, can you?
