Ok, what's a couple of farmgirls to do,,,,
Firemama popped over for a quick visit & dropped off a sweet MJF pillow that she made for me. I Love It! Thank you girlfriend.
So as we are chatting we got on the subject of Julia's "haunted porta potty" and well ya know what that means, w/keys in hand we dashed out the door & drove up the road to Julia's to see her porta potty and to drop off some Princess Fairy Dust for the girls.... Julia is sooooo sweet. And I have said it before & will say it again,,,,if she ever leaves her front dor unlocked I am coming over & stealing her Retro stove....it is soooo darn awesome! Anyhow, we got to see the kiddos artistic work along with some of Julia's (wink wink) artwork.....and to take a pic of the haunted porta potty! lololol! Only our Julia is wonderfully free spirited enough to decorate her porta potty..it is a hoot!. . hahaha, we love ya Julia. The kiddos were such a delight and even with us cutting into their lunch time they were happy & inviting to us to come play with them. "Old Henery" is deffinatly a home filled with love, joy, merriment and childhood energy. I love how good I feel when I am there visiting. Hugz The Layton's haunted porta potty....enter at your own risk!...hahaha!

Gracie you gotta check out my other post about Fairies a coming to visit!!! Did you notice on top of the potty the Crow Crown??? There are some other photos under the post What would MaryJane do...
I'll let you know when I have the Throne done!! I'm decorating it today and will have it in place hopefully tomorrow or Monday, which means you have to check it out!! The nice thing is that the potty was just serviced and hardly anyone has used it so it is nice and clean...BUT totally needs some girl power! Oh and I'll be framing the sign today too.
Farmgirls, there's the sign on the front of the potty that shows the name of the porta-potty company and their phone number. I felt like I couldn't cover it but I hate it too...it kind of cramps my decorating ju-ju so Gracie told me to frame it and I have the perfect autumn berry/fruit garland with which to do just that!! THRILLED. I'm also not happy with the cob webs on the front of the door. It needs an apron so big time!! I'll be working on that too!
I've also got to get some kind of sign out there when I can post the progress of the remodel. I've decided to call it ((((((drumroll))))))) The Rubber Neck Report! Oh man, the rubber necking that goes on when people walk or ride or drive by is just staggering. There was one guy I was afraid was going to fall off his bike! People have told me what they've thought we're doing and some of their thoughts are just amazing!! Sooo I thought some kind of sign to keep everyone posted would be good.
The one thing, hands down, that people are most anxious about is when this whole thing is going to be finished. I'm so ok with it getting done when it gets done! So I feel compelled to post that on my sign somewhere to calm the nerves of my neighbors! Sheesh...It is all in such good fun.
You Fairies are THE BEST!! Reo was in rare form sneezing all over. I have to get that kid into some kind of drama class or something!! Holy cow!
Alrighty FarmGirl Fairies!! thank you again for making my day!! The circus that is us was sure happy to have you over!!! Many smiles and 2 cheers for glitter!! ~julia

Oh Gracie, I forgot, can I get glow-in the dark paint at Joanns or Michaels or something??? Gals, Grace suggested that I paint ghostly glow in the dark footprints along the plank leading to the front door!! tooooo fun...Plank for the potty??? hmmmmm logistically I'll have to figure that one out!!! I'm thinking red carpet to the throne room or something!! ~julia

ok, miss julia....put down the bottle of wine! lolo! j.k....hahaha! I think Michaels will be your best bet for the G-i-t-D paint....give 'em a call to save yourself a trip...in fact,,,I would call the Wally World store in A.H. 1st, who know's w/holloweenie around the corner they just might have some too! check the paint dept & the holloween dept. Hmmm red carpet,,,,I'm liking that Idea..... As for using the potty... I'll pass,,,don't want my poor tuschi to freeze to the seat....I would hate for PastBlessings(Brenda) hubby the EMT/Paramedic to have to 'unplug me' !!!!!!!!! ROFLMBO!

Oh my Grace!! I grew up using an outhouse . . . called it "Mrs. Murphy's" . . . I was SO-O-O-O glad when my parents put in a real flush toilet and real tub (I was in high school by that time). Had to pull out the ole galvanized tub into the middle of the kitchen and pour in hot water . . . share the same bath water with my younger sister. We just go to take turns on who got the water first!!! Yup, those were the days! CJ
