I am back! I could not go one more day without ya'll. I missed everyone SO much. I had my internet turned back on today and I am one happy farmgirl again! I have missed it here. And it looks like there are so many new farmgirls, too. How neat.

Ok, I am going to look around and see what ya'll have been up to and in to. I hope everyone is ok. And thanks to all of you who e-mailed me this past month or so about the flooding. All is well here. We are finally drying out except for the leaking water pipes that are getting worse and worse. Gotta get that fixed soon!

See ya'll!

Kris

Thanks ya'll. It's been too lonely here without my farmgirl friends. I have been busy here, though. I love love love this great fall weather and have so much more energy to do things outside now. The windows are wide open and I'm lovin' it! I have the grands today because my SIL was taken to the hospital this morning with chest pains. They are running tests on him to see what's going on.

Ya'll have a great weekend where ever you are!

Hugs, Kris

Welcome back, I know before we got the internet I could of cared less about it. Now that we have it I would be lost without it. My house might cleaner but as long as my DH doesn't mind I don't either.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Oh yes. It's good to be able to come in here and just turn this computer on again to see everyone. So nice. Thanks for the nice welcome back.

I have been trying to keep busy around here just fall cleaning. Throwing out all kinds of trash in some of the outbuildings. Trying to decide who to breed who to with the goats. And when to do it. I am trading goat breeding for soap making lessons. I am so exited about that. We will start in a few weeks now.

The SIL is being kept overnight for observation. His parents are supposed to be coming up from Ruttledge to see him today. They will probably need to stay here tonight. I have never met them yet.

Cindy, we sure do have extreme weather here. Ya just never really know what it will be like. Mostly HOT and humid. But really nice right now. Blue skies and sunny with a cool breeze.

Sheila, are you all moved in yet and settled? I bet it's great there.Glad you're back, too!

Hey Tina. I missed you, too. Have you heard back from Cherry? I have not talked to them in a while, either. Sounds like you had fun with your GD. We have a corn maze near us but it would cost a fortune to take all us.

Hi Karrieann. I have been meaning to say hello to you. So hello! How far are you from Chattanooga? I asked my hubby if he knew where Toccoa was and he didn't know. He drives a truck. He said "what do you think I am, a walking GPS?" Uh, YES! Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Kris,
I just got back from Douglasville a little while ago. My Fathers house is there and since the real estate market is in the tolet I have it rented. Needless to say they ended up with 3 feet of water in the basement. Oh goody something else to deal with. But as for Cherry , she hasn't responded to my e-mail.

On oct. 20th my DH and I are going to Ky. I would love to stop in for a few minutes and put a face to a name if we can work it out. We couldn't stay long because we will have our Yorkie with us, and i know how much your dog loves strang dogs.lol If we can't work it out maybe someother time.

Hope all is well. Time for bed.

N. Ga. is under a flood watch til 8 PM Monday. It's been raining for several hours now. It does seem like I use a lot of soap around here, Michele. It will come in handy for sure!

Douglasville is where my friend's son lives. His sister e-mailed me and said their house looks like a bomb went off. It's flooded. Plus his office where he lost most of his equipment. Not good. He hasn't told his mother. She'd only worry. She's 92. What a mess. And here comes more rain.

Tina, I would be glad to see you on the 20th. So far I'm just taking my Cowboy in to the slaughterhouse that morning. Nothing else that I know of after that. I could put Bubba in the house and he'd be ok. I sure would hate for him to get a hold of that little dog! I have 2 Rat Terriers, too, so he's used to them and they're small. Anyway, just let me know when and I'll be here.

Hey, hey, ladies!! Kris, happy that you finally have your internet back and can connect with us all again! And, Tina, I am so very sorry to not have answered you! It was very inconsiderate of me. I've recently started a new job and am having to get up at 5:00 every morning and am absolutely POOPED when I get home! My internet time has been severely limited! And for all of you early risers out there who actually enjoy it, my hats off to ya! I am so very much NOT a morning person! I love my snuggly bed way too much! Anyway, I did read your email and should have answered it right away because I got behind in cleaning out all of the junk mail and before I knew it, your email was on the next page and I plum forgot about it! Again, I'm so sorry!

Kris, I hope your SIL is okay. Keep us updated.

Hey Kris!!! I a glad you are back, I actually stayed off the MJ site for a while, I spend to much time here. I have collected a total of 14 eggs so far! It is so exciting for me and Abby to go collect the egg everyday. I am going to Cookeville Friday and Saturday to Dennis Reis' No Dust TOur, I hope I will be able to learn something so I can control my CRazy HORSE. I am taking my mom with me, my treat for her Bday. I miss you guys, we will need to plan a visit soon, I know I keep mentioning it, however, I truly mean it, you are welcome to come here, or I can go there, or we could even meet downtown again, whatever works for you. We had fall break the 19-23, so Abby and I are game for anything. Maybe even a trip to Cherry's???

Hello Jonni! How are you and Miss V? Have you heard from Miss Wilma? I was hoping for another fall gathering this year, I hope she is well.

Cherry!! Hello. I have so missed seeing you around and was getting a little worried about you. I am so glad to see you are ok. And getting up early. You poor girl. I know how ya feel. I do love morning but I don't like it forced on me. My SIL is good. They did a cath test on him Mon. but didn't see anything. So he came home Mon. night. He went back to work Tues. Can't keep that man down for long. He must have needed a little break. But so far so good. It's so good to hear from you. Keep in touch! What's the new job? Still in real estate? How's La? Have you talked to Nikki lately? I miss her, too

Hey Kelly! Good to hear from you, too. You' re getting lots of eggs now? I am so jealous. And happy for you, too. I looked on my calendar after I talked to you and mine are just going on almost 6 months now. I thought they were older. Anyway, their combs are getting redder so maybe soon. I am getting 3 eggs a day from my faithful girls. I have put little nesters all over this place to see if they will lay in them. I have one in the cat room that one of the banty hens lays in. I am just a little impatient, I guess. I have seen that guy on RFD before. I am glad you're getting to go see him. I do hope you get some good pointers. Have fun. I hope your mom has a good time, too. And yes, I would love to come see your new place soon. Just let me know when's a good time. And I want to go to Miss Wilma's if she is still having her fall gathering. I hope she's ok. Haven't seen her in ahile, either.

Jonni, I bet Violet is getting so big. Is she crawling yet? And I saw she has 2 teeth now. How exiting! Kansas just lost her first tooth a few weeks ago at school. She came home with a big ole sticker on her shirt and a little plastic tooth that the teacher had put her little tiny tooth in so she wouldn't lose it. She was so exited! She had dreamed that she called the tooth fairy and she gave her $100 for her tooth! She only got $1 from the real tooth fairy. Poor kid. Oh well, she had lots more.

Thanks Brenda. But right now my place has ponds again. And a few streams coming from out back. I hear waterfalls way up on the mountain behind us, too. We must have gotten more rain than I thought we did. My yard's just soppin' wet. Again. But today is just beautiful! I have been cleaning and making bread but going outside to soak up the sun when I can.
