PARTNERS POSTED IN LAST POST! BE SURE TO REVIEW GUIDELINES AND MAIL-BY DATE INFO.

How about a CHRISTMAS TAG TRADE? These would be handcrafted ones, with cardstock, paper, fiber, any and all embellishments you wish.

Perhaps you've seen them . . . approximately 2 1/2 x 5 inches and you can really get creative and personalize them . . . tie them onto your Christmas packages.

I make them and people like to use them to really make their gifts more personal and classy.

I'm thinking we could pair up and make and trade 2 tags.

Wanna "play"?? SIGN UP BY OCTOBER 25th, then we could have approx. a month to make and send in time for Christmas gift wrapping.
Could be fun!!!

Sharon,
I'm not at home for a few days . . . I'll try to see if I have one left from last Christmas. If I do, I'll try to get a photo uploaded. I haven't been able to get that happening yet and our computer was "under seige" and had to go to "hospital".
I'll try when I get back home, but it will be next week.

By description, I cut cardstock in a rectangular shape and crop the corners on the top, like those tags used on things for years. But I use Christmas print/colors . . . use all sorts of coordinating pieces of scrapbooking papers with buttons and other embellishments. Some themes would be Santa, snowmen, snow, stars, religious, gifts, ornaments, etc. I punch a hole in the top and reinforce with little squares of paper or hole reinforcers and tie a bunch of different fibers through the hole . . .including ribbon and other coordinating fibers.

Anyway . . . I'll see what I can do!
THANKS!
CJ

Hey Ceejay ~ Could you give me some tips on how you do the ribbons? Are they tied on or loose? About how long? Thanx, Sharon

The curly ribbon is actually not part of what I do for the tag. That is curling ribbon my daughter added to tie onto pkgs.

I use ribbon, no wider than 1/4 inch, narrower if I have it, and all sorts of fibers (total of approx. 6 pieces or so). Cut them about 6 inches long, gather them all together, fold in the middle and push that fold through the hole in the top of the tag, pull through so I can tuck all ends through the loop at the fold, then pull tight. Be careful not to pull so tight that you tear through the hole. I usually use some craft glue between ribbon/fibers and the top of the tag to secure it a bit more.
If it is difficult to fold in half and loop through you can just run the ends of everything through the hole together and tie in a knot . . might still want to use a little glue to keep from untying.

I hope that makes sense . . . a bit hard to describe. But, please feel free to ask for more clarification . . .or other questions, etc.

Hope it helps!!
CJ
