I've been watching Ken Burn's documentary, "National Parks" this week on PBS. OMG, on the tv, they are awesome...but I'm sure television doesn't do them justice. I've never been to any of the parks. After seeing this documentary, I'm thinking of taking a tour to visit some next year. I love Ken Burn's documentaries...this one is stunning and very interesting. If no one is watching it, I highly recommend tuning in. The episodes are repeated, if you want catch up.

I watched it last week and this week as well. I love it. Ken Burns can tell a story so well both visually and verbally. I just love his stuff.
It is amazing, even if you can only catch one of the six episodes.

Alee, have you been to Yellowstone? How lucky that you live so close to it!

I have been to many National Parks. Yosemite, Zions, Glacier, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain National Park, Arches National Park and Great Basin National Park. I have also been to many National Monuments in the west. Yes we are a lucky country to have set aside land for all to enjoy. It is sure funny how those from other countries just are in ah with our parks. Some have even expressed how they wish their countries had parks like them.
I hope that you all take the time and visit even just one park in your lifetime. They are places that our good for the soul.
