People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in,
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

Corona, California - Inland from LA, close to Riverside and not too far from Palm Springs. It's HOT here! They call it the Inland Empire.

North Rose, NY, right near the shores of Lake Ontario. We see Sodus Bay from the west side of our house! I love it here.....except for when we have lake effect snow!

Idaho City, Idaho pop:412-

No street lights, full of Idaho History!! Queen of the Gold Camps in the late 1800's and early 1900's until three seperate fires destroyed most of the buildings, the gold was gone and the town died. We are known as "The Ghost Town That Refused to Die"...would love to show off our town to any farmgirls that want to venture here!!

Some people look for happiness, others create it!

We are never alone in the forest of Sisters! We "Mountain Farmgirls" are outstanding in our field!

Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. We are across the bridge from Topsail Island where we use to live. Sneads Ferry is a small fishing village that has in recent years been a destination spot for retirees and vacationers. Still it has kept its small rural feel. I love it here.

I live in a lovely rural area of the northern central part of the lower penninsula of Michigan southeast of Traverse City, Mich. We are zone 4/5 garden area in a cool au sable river valley with a 90 day growing season, approx. I have gardened the same property for 38 years although we changed houses when we lost one to a housefire and got a new one.

I live in the country but my address is a lil' rural community in west virginia called Thornton...we just had a tragedy in this community 11 days ago...a fatal car wreck that took the lives of 2 16 year old females and a 19 year old male...so yea...towns that aren't very big like around the area I live usually get hit pretty hard by that stuff. I LOVE SMALL TOWN USA!
