She is coming along a treat. I think I have a true diamond in the rough.

Monday the shoer is coming out to slap a trim on her. It's gonna be something cuz she has such bad thrush that there isn't any frog left, just a big concave hole. I've used bleach just to get a handle on the thrush and then when he can trim, hopefully it won't be so concave and keep packing up in there.

I wormed her and she didn't spit out a bit. Is gaining and getting shiny. Well, all the elbow grease of brushing helps a lot too!

We think she's gonna be a keeper and will start the registration paperwork soonest.

Still don't know if she's preggers. I've made arrangements for a box stall this winter if it proves she's preggers and gonna foal during the snowy part of winter. I don't need a foal born in the middle of a blizzard, so doing it the easy way.

Used the Lime on the proud flesh and it works a treat. Better than any meds I've ever used. Gave a course of penecillan (sp?) too just in case.

So, now, after Monday and the shoer, just need to find out if she's preggers and IF she's even broke! hehehe... Hubby used to ride bareback and saddle broncs to going to put him up first when she's filled out a bit more.

I have pics on FB but don't know how to post them here. She's changed a lot in the almost 2 weeks that I've had her.

Thought you guys would like to know!

Winona

Forgot to say, now she feels well enough to romp and play in the corral and holy smokes!!, she can move like silk! Very, very pleased with her movement. She 'gots it'!! Oh, yeah....
