So I happened to run across her website today wondering when Midnight Sun (Edward's side of Twilight) was going to be released. And I read some bad news! One of the people she trusted with the draft released it to the internet so Midnight Sun might never go beyond rough draft stage. Stephanie doesn't want her fans feeling like they have to compromise their morals by downloading an illegal copy, so she has publicly posted the leaked draft for us all to read since she might never actually go back to.

However she does say that she hopes true fans won't read it since it isn't really finished or polished and some things might change.

But if you really want to read it...Here is the link off her page:

I can't remember which site I read it from, but it also said that due to that "leaking" she was considering not finishing that particular book at all. That would such a shame as I think they were all well written. Lousy ending to the one, but that's just one readers opinion. I do hope she will indeed finish it though.
I hope she sued the pants off of the person that released ahead of time. What an unnecessary mess and how devastating it must be as a writer for something like that happen.
Thanks for sharing.

Jennifer-- Have you read the other three books that this book is a "sequel" to?
They are really great!

Hubby has promised to take me to the New Moon release on Nov.20th. The trailers for it look awesome! It has promise to be lots better than the first movie, Twilight. Twilight, was a low budget film, that is why the special effects were "different". It did so well, that it was picked up and funded by true "Hollywood" producers. :) Should be interesting to see what things can be done with the money to do as they wish. I saw on the one preview that Dakota Fanning was playing one of the elite vampires. I didn't realize she was getting that old already..hehe. I always picture her just a little bit of a girl.:)

I'll go see the second one. Although it isn't my favorite book. :( I find the series a bit angsty- but that fits with the character's ages soooo.... *shrug*. It'll be interesting to see the movie take on some of the things in the book.

Read all of them AND Midnight Sun online...I was bummed too - that it won't be finished or released. But I have faith that years from now, after she's done a few books that aren't so popular, she might just decide to pick up that pen and finish it! ;-) You never know!
