Charlie has to have an upper edonscopy done next week. Please pray that this is a painless and easy scope for him. I am really trying to hold it together and I know it is so minor compared to what other children are going through but I need a little help. Thank you.

Heather--I had that procedure done several years ago and it was pretty quick and painless. I will say a prayer for you and Charlie that all goes well. Cindy

Hi Heather and prayers for Charlie that he'll do just fine. I've also had this done and it was quick and I was pretty much asleep during the procedure. The hardest part was the IV they started on me to give me the medication that was a short acting anaesthetic. They also sprayed my throat with more anaesthetic so I didn't feel a thing. It was all over in under an hour.

I have 3 of these and 2 were in the past year. They medicate you and spray your throat. The last one was awesome. I dont even really remember much of it, thanks to the drugs. I was even ready to eat lunch right after.
What are they looking for?

He has had GERD since he was born and it has never gotten better. Scott actually just had the same thing done but it is different when one is 38 years old and one is 3...well maybe not that different!!! HA...
Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.

Heather, I will be praying it all goes smoothly. The liitle guy will probably fall right to sleep and won't remember much of anything. But, it is always scary when it's your child. Do let us know how he made out.
Hugs, MJ

Heather, you, Charlie, and your family are in my prayers. I know those endoscopies are scary, I've had a few done lately myself. But they can be very helpful and all of mine have been fairly easy. I pray his will be as well.
