We has a very dear friend pass away in June from brain cancer. Leaving behind a wife and 3 little boys, 7,3,and 1. Well his birthday was on Friday and K- his wife had a very difficult time. They had a small birthday party at the cemetary. K called Friday and asked if we could take the boys so they have been here since. We have had a very nice weekend, went to church together, picked tomatoes and peppers, went on a picnic and to the park, blew bubbles and sidewalk chalk and went to see my parents a couple of times. My daughters are 22,18 and 12- so these little peanuts have worn me out and I am ready for a nap- but so many things haven't gotten done so now it is off to get some work done around the house! Whew!

Lori, what a blessing you are to your friend! I bet you are tired, we do not have any children and recently babysat a 2 year old boy. Oh my! Talk about lack of energy! I'm sorry to hear about your friend and am praying for his wife and children.

Thank you for the prayers for their family- it has been a really tough road with treatment and his death. And these precious little boys talk about him so much, a few times I had to go to my room and cry like a big baby.

Oh Lori, you are such a sweet friend. Sending you all lots of hugs and prayers and I'm going to have Hallie (my 7 year old) bottle up some of her energy just to send to you. trust me she has more than enough to go around. :)

Lori, I'm so sorry about your friend and her children losing their beloved husband and daddy. How very sad for them. What a wonderful friend you are to them and a great helper sharing her burden and letting her have some time to herself. This has to be very difficult for all of them.

Lori, what a blessing--for the boys, and for your family. I know that's just what those little ones needed! I know how hard this is on you, losing your dear friend, but you know, he's right there inside those children, and his memory will live on in them.

Lori, so sorry about your friend's passing. What you did this past weekend was a wonderful thing. I agree with Jonni, his memory will live on through them.

Hugs!
