about two dress sizes since last March. It has been a really rough tow. I was losing so slowly that I thought I would never get anywhere but I was surprised this last week when I went to the thrift and fit into a smaller size. So today I was going through my clothes for donation and tried on several things and low and behold I got into my jeans!!!! I have not worn jeans in over a year! They are a little tight but I am wearing them in celebration and a reminder not to overeat. So I guess the old adage about the tortoise and the hare is true. My goal was 35 lbs but the 20 I lost feels good. I posted this not to brag but to encourage myself to continue this uphill fight to reach my goal. It will be a bit harder now as the fall weather approaches but I am determined to reach my goal.

That is so inspiring! I am ramping up my workouts because I know winter is always a challenge- though I do LOVE walking in the snow more than any other weather. Rebekka

Karen . . .be encouraged! It can be tough, frustrating and downright discouraging!!!!
I have told my daughter that it gets tougher as you get older and . . . well, menopause is a very complicated thing. So, I work even harder now to keep it under control . . . but I refuse to let it "get me" . . . and I exercise (biking, walking and weight strength training) because I want everything to work for as long as I breathe!!!
So, hang in there . . . I'm cheering for you!!! CJ

Dash is coming off a bruised ego again. Grayson, my 4 month old grandson was here overnight and brought toys. Dash said all toys were always mine, I don't get it.....Grayson has a little blanket thing that Dash is sure looks like his 'baby'. A real bummer! :D
The only mad dashes I am going to be making for the next couple weeks are for this trip to Africa. We will be in two climates and so limited on baggage weight that I am really frustrated. Plus TT has to get buttoned up, somehow. Thanks for the compliments, I do feel better and love getting into my jeans!

Congratulations on you weight loss so far! I am happy to hear that you are accomplishing your goals.
Slowly, but surely you will eventually lose all the weight you want too.

Congrats!! That is WONDERFUL! I lost 80 lbs over two years and it was not easy ..I've been the smallest I ever have been! YOU CAN DO THIS! Little by little... if you only lose a lb or 2 in a weeks...well, think about how you are still smaller than you were...and also do a look up on how just a lb of fat looks and how much it really is!!
