So I got this recipe off the internet in an attempt to get rid of some raspberries....

It's for cheesecake in bar form.

It was doubled, mixed with the berry puree and WOW!

Even hubby dove right in.

It's over 1/2 gone!

But I'm a little surprized the recipe didn't call for a condensed milk. It did have egg. Interesting

It's not quite slab like---like a New York style but still holds its form and isn't like the pookey coolwhip mushy kind.

Anyone out there have a to -die- for cheesecake recipe that doesn't require one of those fancy pans?

Your recipe sounds yummy but I prefer the plain old fashioned NY style. I guess I'm something of a cheesecake "snob" in that I won't even consider making any other kind of "cheesecake"! Could be a mental thing...maybe if they called it something other than cheesecake. lol. Like Diana, I have the spring form pans, also.

i've never made cheesecake in a springform pan, i don't even own one. i think my recipe is probably much like yours, comes out very fluffy and doesn't call for condensed milk. i put it into a 13 X 9 casserole dish and it always comes out yummy! made one for the hubs' birthday in july and it was just as yummy as ever!!!
