I had to take a long lunch today and I made 4 peach pies and put them in the freezer. I have a friend that orders peaches from Michigan so, I ordered a bushel- they are so darn yummy!! The pies will sure taste good this winter!

sounds delicious! i've never tried freezing pies... do you have any suggestions for successfully freezing them?

I put them together and then wrap the pie on wax paper, tin foil, and then into a ziplock bag. I don't bake them until I am ready to eat them. They sure are good when the wind is blowing and snow up to windows!

when you are ready to eat them, do you thaw them first or just pop them in the oven and bake?

I always try to thaw them first, or it seems the crust gets a little gooey. I like to have pies in the freezer because when the snow comes- I have a friend that comes and plows my driveway and I give him warm baked goods- I figure it's a win- win !!
