People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.
I have been selling kits for this in my farm shop for years. It is a great project for young and old alike. What is great about my kit is I give you everything you need including instruction for the trinket bag that is made after the soap is all gone and the felt is complete. This project I have provided for homeschoolers, after school programs and even school districts. When I teach this project I also talk with the kids about where woold comes from, why fel happens and then the enviornmental issues around farming, products that go back into our ground water supplies and then the great gift we get when we make something ourselves.
You ladies have reminded me to get more kits done THANKS I need that!

No, it is really a very clean source for your washing time. The soap will not collect little nasty things and the wool is a natural fiber which will allow the soap to breathe, dry and keep little nasty things out. Now I guess if you let it sit in a puddle of water and never move it well then anything will grow stuff. I find them cleaner then a wash cloth, a sponge has much more chance to grown something then this. Also, what is great about these are when you make one for each person in the family and one for guests you are only haveing your own germs on you. I never understood sharing soaps, towels and such even with my own boys.. I know I can be the worst germ freak in the world so trust me if this does not creepy this gal out it must be O.K. Just my thoughts thou.....
