I wasn't feeling the best yesterday and my DH asks me if I'd like to go to one of my favorite haunts, the St. Vincent De Paul store. Of course I would! Who's he kidding? LOL He knew that would get me out of the house so off we went. I'd seen this rocker a wk ago during a visit but the tag was ripped off indicating it had been purchased. But lo and behold, when we walked in there it still sat. So I inquired and so glad I did. They let me have it as they knew it had been without a tag for sometime and whoever took the tag didn't make the proper arrangements for payment and pickup. Needless to say it came home with us and is now on my front porch where I will rock the rest of the summer away.

I am so glad you went back! I feel like it was meant for me when I see things like that and can't get it at the time but when I go back they're still there. It's mine then! So glad you got it and it's in great shape, too. It will last many many summers for you. Yeah!

So nice, Cheryl! Looks so comfy, too. A good book, a glass of tea and a nice breeze and you in your chair. Yippee!

The only thing missing is a cool drink! Nice find! My local St Vincents doesnt have very good stuff and its insanely expensive. I love going to thrifts, though. Such fun and treasures. When I was a kid my mom would say lets go "bumming" and that meant a day of thrift stores. I miss that time so.

We went to a St Vincents when we were in Ohio visiting my dd and sil. They are a very large store and have so many things. We don't have any here that I am aware of but we sure had fun at that one.
Your rocker is beautiful. Enjoy it! I know I would. Especially if it was a thrift find.
