not sure yet .. jus' keep making them .. and make extras .. so if we have some left over ... we can use them on our 'table toppers' to finish them off.

am heading for ohio this week for a few days (shopping adventure) .. then down to nashville the following week to take honey hunk to the airport for his 'grande adventure' .. when i get back .. i'll get down to 'biznezz' and we'll decide who is in our swappee and how many yo's we'll all need to make .. and i'll get addresses to everyone via e-mail. xo, frannie

I'm doing my yoyo's, and notice a difference when I sew further away from the folded edge
than when I sew very close to the edge. Further away is more puckery when the thread
is drawn tight, and less puckery when I'm closer to the edge. Is one way more desireable
than the other, do you think? Or does it really not matter.

I emailed 'ya Frannie Gal but just in case...YOU MISSED ME!!

You know, we started talking about this swap on another post about Yo Yo quilts Frannie. Seems like a lot more gals said on that post (including me I guess) that they wanted to swap! I will go double check it now!

Okay, I have come up with Jan Pinter (owwlady)...Sherri (mikesgirl)
Pamela (photobugs) Annie T. and myself.

Add us lost sheep to the list please!

Good, I have lots done. I'm gonna make myself a vest....just a simple muslin shell with yoyos sewed on it. I'm gonna make one white yoyo and sew it on backwards and embroider "MJ's Farmgirl connectioN yoyo swap" on it. I'll have a secret pocket to keep all the little papers, poems and prayers in (after I laminate them).

thanks diane . hmmmmmm .. how long do you think it will take you girls to make about 60 yo's for sharing? (we could cut it back to TWO each if most of you need to do that) .. post and i'll get a general idea and make an 'executive decision' as to how many and when to mail. xo

I'll start cutting the 60 this weekend, sounds like a sittin an watchin tv project to me, . I'll be using a CD for the size of the yoyo's, hope eveyone else is doing the same. Oh I do have a question, should we prewash the fabric??

Thank you Aunt Jenny for your lovely compliment. I like functional things - the totebag is a good idea, too. (The table topper is good too, but I'm afraid at my house it would tend to get covered up by stuff and then I'd never see it - or, it could be a good incentive to keep things in better order! hah!)

probably depends on your fabric . .if you think it will 'shrink' if someone washes their project .. it won't hurt to pre-wash it. xo

i don't think we've come up with a 'mailing date' yet .. cuz' we're still waiting to see how many of us sign up to see how many we have to make. i think, because of our various busy lives .. we will be somewhat flexible on the mailing date. only ask that everyone who commits and gets yo's .. does indeed, find some time to send theirs out too.

IF we have about 20 of us (and i think that is about where we are) .. and if we make THREE yo's for everyone participating .. that means 60 yo's ... can everyone pretty much get this done by the end of APRIL? If so .. let's go for the first of MAY for our mailing.

what sayeth all of thous?

xoxo

I can get 60 or so done. Not a problem. Gonna have to rent some more chic flicks.
