Today when my DD and I were leaving Albertsons, I noticed some table-looking things set out back by the garbage. I think they are old produce display tables. They're made of solid oak. The top is made of oak slats and can be flat or adjusted at an angle. I went in and asked the manager about them and he said that they were "free for the taking"! I couldn't believe my luck! I could fit 3 into the truck. One is going to become my new potting bench and I'm not sure what I'll do with the others. I was just so tickled with my treasure! DD just smiled and shook her head...maybe I'll rub off on her some day! LOL

I think we do eventually rub off on others. In the last three years my honey man has learned to shop ebay and the clearance racks and now has decided that a modular home would not be so bad to live in so long as it has room for all of us. Next I'm working on flea markets, goodwills and yard sales. :)

Great find!!!

What a find Kelly!! I still can't believe what people still throw away. Don't they know nowdays all they have to do is paint anything white and scruff it with sandpaper and it will sell for hundreds. You'll have to let us know what you do with the other two. I love the potting table idea.
