Oh Katie I love that one plate? bowl? above the paragraph where you tell about sneaking a jar of cherries and eating the whole jar. That is absolutely gorgeous! The cherries are so cheap here right now and omgosh I do eat a gob of them. They're so sweet and yummy!

Yes, Cheryl, that's a plate, and it's every bit as pretty as it looks. I'm so jealous of your cherries! I'm down here in the 'burbs of Chicago and there was just one week of 'cheap cherries' and now the price has gone back up. I should have eaten a peck then!

What a great lamp!! -- I've never seen a base as pretty as that one for an oil lamp. That's just 'bout the cutest little thing I've seen in a long time!!

I've got my grandmothers plates -- all were part of her dowery (sp) and I was the only family member who kept them. They are all hand painted an' I just love 'em. Very similar to yours, by the way.

Now I'm hoping to get just as many good finds over the weekend!!

Laurianne -- Are your grandmother's plates like my cherry plate with the white background? Are they Blue Ridge? Very special to have your grandmother's dishes.

Kelley -- No, mam. You may not 'disappear' my cherry stuff into your vintage traver trailer -- although they would look tres cute there! I'd love to see a pic of your trailer.

Here's to great thrifty finds for us all this weekend!
