                      | My house is on the market and the online realty ad finally came online. If you know anyone who's interested in living in a smallish (pop 34,000) midwest town on the Mississippi with a university (beautiful campus), tell them to come buy my house.
Here's the link. BTW, if you look at these pics and have any suggestions for making my house show better, please let me know! Thanks.

                      | Patti, your home is beautiful and huge! I doubt you will have any problems selling it. Good luck.

                      | Wow! Patti, It's beautiful! Where did you put everything? You really did a lot of stuff packed already. I love the colors; it is so bright and cheerful and open. And I didn't miss the apron hanging in the kitchen either. Nice touch.

I hope it goes fast for you, how can it not. I will pray for a new homeowner that is need of exactly what you have to offer.

 In His hands,
 Lynda

                      | Actually, nothing is packed yet except for the stuff that I keep in bins all the time -- seasonal decorations like Christmas things, etc. I'm just a no-clutter type of person. I did have 4 pictures of the kids in magnetic frames and 2 small farmgirl type magnets on the refrigerator, but the realtor took them off before taking the picture. Otherwise, that's pretty much what the house looks like when we go to bed each night.

                      | Thank you, ladies, for the kind words. Our next-door-neighbor put his house on the market a week after us (moving to a retirement complex). They have 1 less bedroom and 2 less baths, but their basement is finished, and their house is brick (mine is vinyl? siding). Anyway, they listed their house for $28,000 more than ours! I don't think ours is underpriced at all, considering our market here, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts.

                      | We're moving out to the country about 30 minutes from where we live now. It's in a neighboring county, where my husband grew up and all his family lives.

                      | Here's a thought for you.
In a couple of the rooms, there was some difference in the color of the paint on the walls, as if they'd been patched or replastered. I don't know what was going on there, but it suggests that there had been some structural or water damage issues, and it might scare off potential buyers. If that's the case, and it's resolved, repainting might be all you need. If it's the way the light reflects on the walls, then another camera angle might be best, or another time of day so the light works differently in there.

It's a lovely home; it should go very fast.
