I have two vintage camp blankets that have been in the family for forever. I have always wondered and can not find the answer as to why they were made so long. Both of mine are actually double the length of a regular blanket. Hope someone knows why!!

God's gift to you are your talents, your gift to Him is how you use them.
An idea, but I'm not sure. They have fancy designs on them. Not like something you would put on the ground. One is baby pink and the other pale blue, not colors I'd assume you'd lay on the ground to use as a bed roll. Also with them being made of wool you would need a sheet under you and over you or you'd itch all night. I have only seen them in pictures in rustic cabins and you can only see them folded over the top sheet but not under the covers. This is why it just seems like a mystery to me.
