I have the "cowboy coffee cake" in the oven right now. I added a bit of cardamom to the recipe because I just can't get enough cardamom!

Yep, some of these recipes looked scrumptious all right. Now all I have to do is find the time to actually bake some of them!

Kimberly Ann (I love your signature line!) - I too am a big big big fan of cardamom. I buy whole stuff at the HFS and then grind it in my spice grinder so it's fresh. I use a mega-pinch of it in my coffee mug every morning, along with some farm fresh cream. If I don't do this, I get mid-morning slumps somethin' awful.

They say that cardamom is a middle eastern spice (or maybe a favorite of the middle eastern cuisine) but I'm Swedish and my family has always used it in just everything. Even sprinkled on a roast beef before roasting. My Mom also used quite a bit of allspice and nutmeg. She always ground her stuff fresh, too. I like to use nutmeg sprinkled on top of pork roasts.
