Nancy, that looks just like the one I had as a little girl
I was born in the 50's
so it is at lest 54 years old if not older,
I still have mine.

We had one like that when I was a little girl (late 70s, early 80s). But knowing my parents, it's very likely that it was made in the 50s.

Late 60s. It looks like they must have been around for a long time with such diverse answers. I still have the one we got for my eldest. MB

It looks similar to one I bought for my daughter in 1980. It was and still is kind of rough wood, not smooth, and has the nails like that. I tried and tried to smooth it out, and painted the arms and the slats on the back with her name and flowers and other nursery rhyme things...I will post a photo on my blog if you are interested in seeing it, and comparing.

Yours sure looks cute! And may be a bit older than the one I have. Now I promise to quit posting all the same things you post! :)

Nancy, I have a rocker that would mirror yours. My ex had it when he was little and he was born in '61. Both of my children used it, and being the pack-rat that I am, I still have it. I'm hoping to pass it down to my grandchildren....way in the future. I love teddy bears, so I have one that sits in ours.

Nancy, everyone is right on the money. I got mine, exactly like yours when I was three. I am now 54. I still have mine. It's the only thing I have from my childhood. Great find as always.

Great find Nancy. I agree with Teresa. Looks like it's from the late 40's to mid 50's.
