Hi Farmgirls- I just made a ton of raspberry jam. It tastes great, but the seeds are all in the top part, with no seeds at all in the bottom. Are my berries extra seedy or is something else at work? I use Pomonas pectin with the usual water bath method. Any advice would be appreciated-this didn't happen last year with the same method using raspberries, although it did with blackberries.

Maybe it has to do with whether or not the berries were frozen before hand? I dunno, just a thought. |

Mine did that also, then I remembered, I screwed up. I made a double batch, (not realizing I wasn't supposed to) but forgot to double the sugar, so I knew it wasn't going to set up. So I dumped them, and redid it w/ the additional sugar, and I didn't have the separation problem again. |
