Wondering if anyone out there participates in fundraising causes such as Relay for Life or Race for the Cure, etc?

Is that something we can talk about on the forums?

when I am in India I do the walkathon for Cancer, and am involved with a society of deaf women tring to better their education. I will also be going back and helping out at one of the orphanages if I can get to it easy enough.

Just wondering . . . my daughter, who lives in Glendale, AZ, and I have committed to one big event every year. We started out with Komen 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. In 2005 we walked (had to raise money too) in Arizona (70 miles in 3 days). In 2006 we crewed the 3-Day in San Diego, crewed in 2007 back in Arizona. Then we changed to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (39.3 miles in 2 days). We crewed the Charlotte, NC event in 2008 and just a month ago, finished walking the Rocky Mtns. event. These are awesome things to do to get out there, to work and support . . .and do together as mom/daughter. We plan to crew the Avon event in Santa Barbara in Sept. 2010.
It's nice to hear what others are doing as well!!!!
