Hi girls, I am at my wits end. I am trying to sew on my machine. If I sew 2 layers which technically are not thick at all, the thread in my needle keeps popping out while I'm trying to sew. I've tried adjusting the tension, but it doesnt seem to do much. If i sew only 1 layer, it doesnt do it. What am I doing wrong? Technically, I am a novice to machines, even though I had my last one for 13 yrs, all I ever did was hem curtains, and I never had that problem.
I dont know how I am ever going to sew a blanket with this happening. many thanks Connie

Connie, I hope you wont take offense to this, but I've got to ask, because it is usually MY biggest problem..lol. By any chance could your needle be in backwards? I do it ALL the time and I get the same results that you are. Please don't be mad if I ask such a question, but I know that's the first thing I check...lol
Hope you find out what is causing your problem. No fun and oh so frustrating when machines are acting up!!ugh!
hugs

That totally sounds like something I would do.
