SOoooo.... I have always been told plant Lavender by your garden gate. I dont have a single clue as to why? Does anyone know??

Lavender by your garden gate for luck. I have also heard Rosemary for protection.

OK, so far I'm doing great! I have lavender bushes on either side of the garden gate, a rosemary at the door of the back porch. I guess all I need now is aloe at the front and we'll be set. Right now we really need some 'aloe'. Would you happen to know what 6' tall bronze fennel would be good for? Other than the pure beauty of it.

It's not about being perfect, but enjoying what you do. Set aside time to be creative.

Actually, Fennel is an herb of protection and is used to protect people as well as material objects. It is also a great Mosquito repellant...I keep it with about 6 other herbs in a basket on my front door. NO BUGS!

See, I knew I loved that plant for a reason. Besides it smells so good too.
