...........WHY!! I don't know why. I just don't want to go to bed. I always sleep well but all I know is that if I go to bed then that means morning will be here and I will have to start all over again. Oh well--I will stop feeling sorry for myself and go take a blistering hot shower and go to bed..Good night all. MB

Hi Jenny. I have always stayed up too. When my kids were little that was the time I got my work done. Specially sewing. It's a wonder I never woke them up. I sleep well though, I guess I don't need a lot of sleep. You take it easy now. MB

So many years of working 2nd shift I'm STILL up...LOL. Most nights I don't go to bed till dawn. On the plus side, I see some beautiful sunrises.

I used to stay up all night to have "my time". Then I was challenged while doing a bible study "God's Heart A Woman's Dwelling Place" by Beth Moore. The challenge was to give all your time to God and let Him organize your day so you'd have time to spend with Him. I had no IDEA the power of that prayer. In only two days I was in bed earlier (9 PM) up by 6 AM (no alarm). I was amazed how wonderful I felt. Where I was always wishing there were just a few more hours in the day, now I had hours to spare while raising 2 little boys. I had time to smell the roses.

No matter what time I go to bed I am always up by 5:30--no alarm either. If I would go to bed at 9 I would be wide awake at 2 or 3. I was a stay at home mom and since we lived 'way out' i was my kids play mate. Like Aunt Jenny- I was always there for my kids and horses and goats and raised calves and gardens, etc. LOL MB

I stayed up late last night, but I must have just missed your post by minutes. I hope you get to take it easy today!

Marybeth,
In no way was my responce implying that you were not there for your kids. I was responding only to what was going on in my life and changes I went through. I to was a stay at home mom. I am so sorry if you thought I was in some way saying you were not doing something correctly. That was not my intent.

I love the night! I do work second shift so i don't get off of work until 11. Have you ever done your grocery shopping at an 24 hour grocery store at 2 am? NO carts to fight with! Also, hardly no traffic on the way home!

I have gone grocery shopping late late at night many times when we lived in Calif and there WERE 24 hours stores..haha. Even the Walmart that is 7 miles from us closes at midnight...in our little town the grocery store closes at 8pm even in Summertime. When I was waitressing years ago (13 now!) I would shop after my shift sometimes..I got off at 11:30pm when I worked nights. I worked half closing shifts and half opening shifts.

I sure have Claudia. That was when I used to do my Christmas shopping after I'd get off work. No crowds. No traffic. It was wonderful....LOL
