Hello,i have seen in a few forums here that some farmgirls use old tires as a flowerbed. Is that ok to do? I would think that the nasty stuff in the tires would leak into out food i'm growing. Let me know your opinions on it and if its healthy to do so!

Flowerbeds would be fine, BUT, I personaly would not use them for veggys, there are chemicals in rubber that will leach out into your soil and contaminate your food, they do not even accept them at our local landfill, and tire shops charge a pretty penny to dispose of them for you, they are handled as a type of haz waste.
