Hello Claudia, FUN idea of yours to share Creative Gardening Tips!
Cheryl, i LOVE your painted shovel!
Cherry, Your Aunt Jenny Flower Pots are adorable!
Sarah, The Hen and Chicks in an old boot is something I have always wanted to do too. If you make one, post a photo for us, okay?
Alee, I can't wait to see the old metal washtub you will plant in. Please post a photo soon. (Wow, you are FarmGirl #8)
Karen, Flowers splashing over the edge of a bird-bath! How cute is that!!
Sharlet~ OMG, what a super idea to put a mailbox in the garden for our tools. Very FUN idea!
Diane, Gee i wish you had taken a picture of all those shoes too! I love when gardeners make whimsical things like you did with all those shoes lined up, filed with Hens and Chicks. You are a true gardener to share them with friends.
Marian, I don't want a toilet in my garden either LOL. I visited your blog and it's great! I like the idea of putting the old bed frame in the garden.
I have an old iron bed in my greenhouse. I will take a photo of it to share.
Kris, The WheelBarrel planter is totally great. My girlfriend had two in her garden. On one she painted, "retired 2002" on the other she painted, "Just Tired."
Sarah, i am rushing out to find the book you mentioned, "Made from Scratch" ~~ and i simply MUST see a pix of your tomato stakes and pea trellis you made from large tree branches tied with jute
twine. PLEASE.
Alee~~ You just gotta hang those old prisms in your garden. DO!
April, you'll be making your garden all "secret gardenish!" soon!

Thanks everyone for all the Inspiration!
Please post photos when you are able to.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Wow what a bunch of great ideas, even though I dont think I would want a toilet in my yard, I redneck enough now! Alee I really think you need to hang the prisms they are bound to get light at some point during the day. Love all the pics they really help to see what your styles look like, thanks for sharing. Becky Sue, those lillies are huge and so gorgeous! I just love lillies. I am going to have to do some of these great garden ideas this fall. I somehow have lost interest in flower gardens with all the veggie gardening I'm doing now. And I don't like to water, too. But I think if I just start small I would get back into it again. I had big flower garden borders all around my yard at our old house. I miss it alot. I drive by just to see it as much as I can. It's all grown so much and is really pretty. Although they don't take care of it like I did.

Thanks for the inspiration and motivation, ya'll!

Kris

I found this great idea for the garden. Keep a look out at garage sales for the items you will need. When you go to the link click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see the glass vase totem pole idea. You can make it into a bird feeder.

at a rummage sale.

Does anyone have ideas
on how to make
different kinds of
birdhouses??

Here is a photo of my "Cow Girl Camp" in my garden.

I have collected rusty sardine cans, frying pans and misc. glass bottles to add here. It's just for fun, but someday I will roast some hotdogs.

I stopped in to visit Grammy yesterday, She is using an old box spring for a trellis! It fits in with her decor so well and she's the type of person that can put two twigs together and it would look good. ha ha. I will try to get some pictures up

Claudia,
i can't wait to see the pix of your Grammy's trellis!

Tammy,
i visited your blog and just adore what you are doing
with all that junque from your basement!
Please post a photo here for all to see.

Sharlet, you little PeaPicker! How cute a name is that!

More photos from ALL of you FarmGirls, okay!

Marsha,
The "glass vase totem pole idea" was cute! Is there anyway you can post the photo of it here for all to see?
I'll be on the lookout at thrift-stores for pretty glass things now.

Earlier there was chat about using beds in the garden
or on the porch.
Below is a photo of a hanging bed
in the courtyard . . . i saw in Mexico.

Becky Sue your serenity garden is just beautiful. I really like the scarecrows. It certainly feels serene just by looking at the pictures.

Do you have a garden too? Tell me more about it, okay?

so i had to share something new i saw at my dear old Grammys house yesterday. She has this moose that someone had carved out of a wood billet for her in her flower bed. At first i was like that has to be the uglyist thing i have ever seen. Only to look at it closer and it was actually kind of cute

Becky Sue, Yes I have a garden but its a new one this year. We moved here last year and now I am starting over. Hopefully by next year it will be photo worthy. It's been so hot here this summer that I have put on hold everything except the necessities. I weed as much as I can and water and pick..... all the really cute stuff will have to wait till cooler weather. If I can get the picture posting down a little better I would love to post pictures. I just need time to get it all figured out. I want to do some really cute scarecrows this fall.

Just look at what crazy, wonderful ideas we farmgirls come up with. I put a hampshire hog in my birdbath on the ground. It gets a chuckle from folks who stop by.
