While at a friend's house my daughter burned her hand with hot grease splatter and after holding her hand under cold water it still felt like it was burning. Her friend wet a green tea bag and told her to hold it on her burn. DD said the burning sensation went away within minutes and no blister ever formed. I had never heard of this treatment before and dd and I thought we should pass this one on to you all. Another reason to keep green tea in the house!

GREAT idea. I have some green teabags and never thought to try them on a burn. Thanks for the info.

You could try some lavender essential oil also.
Smells good and works like the tea bag.

I keep an Aloe Vera plant in my kitchen for burns or cuts. Just cut off a small part of a fleshy leaf and put the extract from the leaf on the area that is burned or cut. Works great and no blistering!!!
