Anyone done this? How did you like it? Do you think it would be better to drive yourself and stop when you want (like take a side trip to some quilt shops) JoAnn

I have'nt taken the tour but have been to Glacier many times. Its fun to stop and look whenever you want in your own car! Going to the Sun road is spectacular. Enjoy it whatever you decide.

We drove it a few years back and loved it. We even took a helicoptor ride while we were there. Scariest darn thing I ever did but cool non the less!

We did the bus ride - the old ones with the open tops - when I was a kid. It was really fun, I would recommend it for touring within the park. Especially on Going to the Sun - that way you can just enjoy the scenery and not worry about driving.
