I just love this . My sister in law and I found this yesterday, and well just too cute to leave at the store even though I was trying to figure out where I would put it when I got it home. But we found a place and I'm really glad I bought it. It just seems to belong where I put it.

What a treasure, I would not have left it behind either. I was not so blessed to have found one in such good shape. Mine was at a flea market and quite a mess but I saw a diamond in the rough. I have stripped it down to the bones and am going to replace the upholstery with vintage bark cloth. I did not know back then they used horse tail hair for stuffing. I found new to put back in it. LOL You found a perfect spot for yours. Smiles, Melody June

I can see why you could not resist that sweet rocking chair, and I realized I hadn't checked your bolog for a couple of days, and sure enough, more wonderful stuff to look at! I expect you and your sister in law are going to have a wonderful time hitting the thrift, etc.
I have been feeling so horrible, but the sun is out for the third day in a row so I'm hoping if I drag my arthritic bones out there they will perk up and stop hurting. I''m really wanting to go to some yard sales, but I have to behave myself. Thank goodness i get to see all the goodies you get!

What a wonderful chair!! -- I saw one similar to yours at a "thrift" store last winter, but the owner wanted over $100 for it..needless to say, that store isn't in business anymore!!
Tom says we'll go thriftin'/junkin' later this afternoon, but I'm not holding my breath. I do have my eyes peeled for some storage items for my studio, but the logistics of getting anything large into toms honda car may be my un-doing...we'll have to wait and see..

What a pretty chair. Did you refinish it or did it come in that good of shape? |

As I said on your blog - You have the BEST THRIFT in the USA! That is a sweet rocker, and not easy to find. My daughter and I do some junkin we call it, around these parts, and I used to see those rockers a lot, but now not so much. Lucky You!

Well Cherry, I knew it was more of a woman kind of rocker, but didn't know it was called a sewing rocker. Thank you for that info. Nancy JO
