Hello!
I am writing from almost sunny New Hampshire. I have to say that I am so glad I live in New Hampshire right at this moment because the farmer's markets are just teeming with fresh fruit and veggies and homemade breads and local meat, flowers and herbs. I just love this time of year when everything is blooming and I can actually feel good about what I put in my body, knowing that it is fresh, pesticide free and local! Being an herbalist and trying to live a mostly vegetarian lifestyle in the city aint always easy, but when there are farms right around the corner from the stone and pavement, it makes things a bit easier when the sun comes around.
Give me a shout out if you too live in old New England and let me know how you balance your city farm girl with your rural farm girl.

You will love it here. I'm sorry I can't help you out with the balance, right now we live in a rural area. I grew up in Massachusetts and sure do miss New England :)

Welcome Eleanor! How lucky you are to have such wonderful Farmer's Markets by you! I am hoping to visit New Hampshire some day, I have heard it is one of the most beautiful states in the country. I love New England but am a Midwestern farmgirl.
I live in the suburbs, so it is a little easier being a farmgirl on my one acre wooded lot. For me, being a farmgirl is really in my heart, not my yard! I think you will love it here, loads of like minded gals to learn, laugh and share with!
